Archduke Eugen takes personal command of troops

June 1, 1915 by Atlantic cable and the Associated. It is being reported in Brescia, Italy, via Paris, that Archduke Eugen of Austria has taken "personal command" of the Austro-Hungarian troops in the defense of Trent.
The archduke was in command of the Austrian army in the advance against Serbia, and after the loss at Belgrade, he was given command of the all the troops in the south.
Eugen "is very popular among the Austrians." His brother, Archduke Friedrich, is the commander-in-chief of all the forces against the Russians.
